Lino Printing Workshops
Evening sessions at Egg and Spoon Cafe, Kemptown, Brighton
Duration- 2 hrs, 30 mins £32 pp
Join me for a cosy evening of printmaking for beginners, where you will have an introduction into linoleum relief printing. In this two and a half hour session you will learn simple design and carving techniques, and go onto hand print 10 prints using your own lino block design.
Whether you have already tried your hand at printing or are new to the skill, this workshop welcomes all ages and abilities. Perfect for families, friends, creative date nights and solo learners- or why not offer as a gift to a loved one?
Please note there are a maximum of 8 spaces per session, and a minimum of 5 must be filled in order for the session to go ahead.

Workshop Structure
The evening will begin promptly at 5:30pm with a demonstration of design transferring, carving techniques and hand printing onto paper. Please allow yourself some time to get settled before the session starts.
​What to bring
All materials will be provided for you, including your lino block, carving tool, brayer, printing barren, printing paper, ink, inking sheet, apron, and plenty of scrap paper and drawing materials to practice your design.
Although not essential, time flies during these sessions so it's always ideal to come with creative ideas in mind. I recommend creating a Pinterest board or coming with some prepared sketches.
Accessibility
This workshop is wheelchair accessible, however bathroom facilities are unfortunately down a short flight of stairs.

The workshops will be held at Egg and Spoon cafe on the high street of Kemptown, a 15 minute walk from Brighton city center. Parking is not provided, however there are regular direct bus routes a 2 minute walk away.

Snacks and non- alcoholic hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase, including caffeine free, sugar free, gluten free and vegan options.
